Specialist Cheesemakers Association
The Specialist Cheesemakers Association (SCA) is an alliance of cheesemakers, retailers, wholesalers and cheese lovers that offers an opportunity to share ideas and increase sales of British cheese. As well as providing a common voice to Government and media, our objectives are to encourage excellence in cheesemaking, raise the profile of traditional British cheeses, and to provide a forum for members to exchange ideas. The SCA provides help with any quality or hygiene problems and advice on food safety management.
Academy Of Culinary Arts
The Academy's principal function is to promote public awareness and appreciation of the highest standards of food, cooking and service by example and education. A vital element of this is a commitment to good practice, and to the highest standards of food provenance and food quality. A second and most important objective is to attract young people into the industry and to motivate them through significant levels of training.
British Sandwich Association
As the voice of the British sandwich industry, the primary aims of The British Sandwich Association are:
- To safeguard the integrity of the sandwich industry by setting technical standards for sandwich making and by encouraging improvement in the industry.
- To promote excellence and innovation in sandwich making.
- To provide a source of information for the industry.
- To promote the consumption of sandwiches.
- To provide a collective voice for all those involved in making, distributing and retailing sandwiches and to represent the views of the industry.
As a sponsor of the cheese category H&B Foods is proud to be involved in the Sandwich Designer of the Year Awards 2007, challenging menu and sandwich developers to create innovative sandwich recipes.
Provision Trade Federation
Provision Trade Federation (PTF) is the association for companies of all sizes involved in trading in provisions, including in particular, bacon and ham; chilled and processed meats; dairy products of all kinds, including milk powders, cheese, butter, yogurt and other dairy desserts; and canned foods.
PTF is unique in that it is the only trade association whose members include importers and exporters of provisions as well as UK processors and retailers.
Association Culinaire Française
The ACF is an association created and managed by Chefs, for Chefs. Ideas have progressed since its founding in 1903 by Mr Auguste Esscoffier, but the aims remain unchanged - to maintain professional standards of cuisine and to encourage learning and skills.
